- The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth of the home health agency by generating referrals, expanding market presence, and building long-term relationships with healthcare providers and community partners. This role combines field-based sales, strategic marketing, and account management to increase patient volumes and meet agency financial goals.
- Develop and execute a territory and outreach plan targeting physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and community organizations to generate home health referrals. Build, maintain, and grow relationships with key referral sources through regular visits, presentations, and follow‑up communication.
- Educate healthcare professionals and the community about the agency’s services, admission criteria, and value proposition through in‑services, health talks, and events.
- Analyze local market trends, competitors, and referral data to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations leaders to ensure smooth onboarding of new patients and high satisfaction among referral partners and families.
- Drive team collaboration and assign clear accountability in our goal of continuous business improvement.
- Evaluate and redefine processes to enable a more efficient and effective way of working. Track activities, leads, and results using CRM or similar tools and report on progress toward volume and revenue targets.
- Assess current and potential performance of accounts in line with grading the best approach to manage and develop business partnerships.
- Represent the agency at community events, networking groups, and professional associations to enhance brand awareness.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews, support personal development plans, and extend growth opportunities through training programs.
Qualifications Needed:
- Must have a Master’s in Business Management/ Gen Studies or equiv. ( Bach. + 5yrs prog. exp)
